Ye is the quiet small town between Mawlamyine and Dawei. While traveling to Myeik or Kawthaung by car, Ye is a good choice to rest for night sleep. From Yangon, it is 460km by road and last for 10 hours of driving time. If the journey starts very early in the morning, Ye can be reached in the afternoon and can arrange for beachside seafood dinner at “Pinlelwa” beach which has a great sunset view.
By Train – By using train 175Up, it leaves Yangon at 18:25 and arrives at Ye on the next day at 10:10. The stop is just 5mins and be prepare for a quick drop off.
From Ye to Yangon, use the train 176Dn which leave Ye at 14:23 and arrive at Yangon at 6:20 on the next day.

There is another short trip train service between Mawlamyine and Ye. It is nearly 7 hours ride. Train No. 172Dn which leave Ye on the early morning 04:00 and arrive to Mawlamyine on 10:40. From Mawlamyine, train No.171Up, leave at 14:30 and arrive to Ye at 21:15. Ticket price – 850MMK
By bus – Every express bus to Dawei and Myeik can stop and drop off at Ye. Some bus line charges the same price as Dawei ticket.
- Pinlelwa beach – 30 mins drive from Ye. Can hire a Motorcycle at the hotel or use the Motorcycle Taxi to reach the beach before sunset. Most restaurant place the dinner setting on the beach or facing the beach. Seafood is fresh and the price is less than 3000MMK per dishes.
- Kabyar Wa beach – Famous for people of Ye to rest for short trip. Many small restaurant and crowded with locals during the holidays.
